I'm a sucker for lipstick and after hearing only good things about Velvet Teddy which is a rich, matte brown beige shade, I had to hit it up. I think it would compliment any makeup combination. I chose the limited edition packaging because 1. it's freakin' cute and 2. it's limited edition and I can't go past LE shit. I'm excited to try it! I love me a good nude brown lippie.
Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Double Gleam -- retails for $48
Who am I without highlight? Highlighting is pretty much my favourite part of my makeup routine and when I swatched Double Gleam on my hand, I just wanted to buy 10 and just roll around in them. It's a very light, almost golden shade that reflects silver which sounds like absolute heaven. I can't wait to use this! I was super excited when I swatched the other three shades from this collection but they were either too dark or light for my skin.
Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul -- retails for $45
I've been wanting this blush for the longest time but just never made it a priority to purchase it. Warm Soul is a really beautiful light pinky peach shade with very fine golden reflects and gives the cheeks a nice and natural flush of colour. I've actually used this about 3-4 times now and can safely say that I love it! Definitely a suitable shade to wear everyday and with any type of makeup look.
Lip Scrubtious in Candied Nectar -- retails for $33
This was definitely an impulse purchase because it literally just arrived in store that day and it just so happened that I needed a new lip scrub. It's a sugar based lip scrub that helps to eliminate dry skin, much like the ones from Lush or you could easily just DIY at home. The scent definitely brings me back to the lip smacker days, it's very fruity and sweet which I like. They have four other scents as well such as Sweet Vanilla, Sweet Brown Sugar (which smells exactly like Maple Syrup), Fruit of Passion and Summer Berry. I can't wait to test this bad boy especially with the colder season coming up!
Make-up Art Cosmetics Kabuki Magic Liquid Lipstick in Sweet Thing -- retails for $46
So the sales assistant that was helping me had this gorgeous deep mauve shade on her lips which suited her so much that I instantly had to have it as well. It's a liquid lipstick from their new Kabuki Magic range in the shade Sweet Thing which after purchasing and swatching it myself, it's a definitely a neutral pinky nude with a matte finish. Right up my alley right? Haha. On my lips it definitely comes out a little lighter compared to the sales assistant but I still really like it! I've been wearing it non-stop since purchasing it.
Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Morning Coffee -- retails for $42
Last but not least, had to pick up a new lip liner cos why not? I've gone this far, might as well keep on going! Another nude shade .. I know, really? Haha. I've actually been wanting a deeper lip liner just to balance out my lighter kind of lipsticks and I thought this would have been the perfect shade to start with. Morning Coffee is a deep rosey, almost brown shade. I think paired with the Sweet Thing liquid lipstick, it would make a bangin' combination so I'm definitely going to try that.
